Little cormorant

Phalacrocorax pygmaeus Pallas, 1773

Distribution. North-east coast of Algeria, coast and river basins of Yugoslavia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, the coast of Crimea, the Azov Sea, the Caspian Sea and the lower reaches of rivers flowing into it, the Aral Sea, the Syr Darya valley up to Chiili and associated lake system, presumably Valley Tedzhena and Turkmen Murgab, Asia Minor, lake and river system to the south Caucasus to Iraq and the north-western Iran (Stepanyan, 1990).
