Field signs. Greyish black with the brighter abdomen; feathers on the spin with the bright borders; the beak is yellow with the red base, on the forehead naked red outgrowth. In birds in the winter tail assembly the throat is whitish, the border of feathers ocherous. Wing 166-223 mm (Ivanov, [Shtegman], 1978). Voice - deaf cottons (Bohme and other, 1998). Propagation. Peninsulas: Hindustan, Indochina, Malacca; South, East and northeastern China to the West to the western part Of [sychuani], the Korean Peninsula. Islands: Kyushu, ha1nan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka. In the limits RF it nests on the southern Kurile Islands to the north to Iturup, on the islands of Peter the Great Bay, supposedly at Lake. [Khanka]. Furthermore, form was recorded in many places of southern littoral, with the islands Askold, To [shumshu] (Kurile bank), Sakhalin, and also in Kamchatka. In the southern littoral is possible nesting, also, beyond the limits Of [khankayskoy] lowland ([Stepanyan], of 1990; 2003). |
