Field signs. At the head with a light red cap, spin-brown sand with small pestrinami; small upper body wing feathers of red, like the top of the head; bottom of the body with a white ryzhim bloom on the sides of goiter and sometimes obscure small dark pestryankami by the throat and zobu; secondary mahovye feathers (except for most domestic) half white. Wing 105-122 mm (Ivanov, Shtegman, 1978).

Distribution. Steppes (more kovylno-tipchakovye) from the northern tip of Ergeney and watershed Ilovli and the Volga River Ob in the area to the city of Kamen-na-Obi and Zaysayaskoy basin; northward to Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Ba-rabinska, to the south to Eruslana, Kamysh -Samara Lakes, lower Irgiza, valleys and Ayaguza predgory Tarbagataya, apparently in isolation breeds in Stavropol, Karanogayskoy and Nogai Steppes (Ivanov, Shtegman, 1978).
