Field signs. Small lark, from the sparrow. The top is reddish-brown with the dark longitudinal speckles, bottom, strip along the sides of tail and eyebrow ocherous- white, breast without the speckles, on the sides of breast brown spots. Propagation. Rare, by places the usual bird of the steppes of Minusinsk basin, is somewhere encountered also in the wooded plain, where the northern boundary of its area passes. It is found on the nesting place in the Abakan steppe and under Minusinsk ([Sushkin], 1914); [K].[A]. Yudin (1952) noted its by that being nesting in the steppes on r. to Abakan and in the pond r. [Chulym] (in the limits Of [khakasii]); the very same on November 11, 1930. it acquired the male, that was being held in the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk in the small flock of field sparrows.
