Circus melanoleucos (Pennant, 1769)

Field signs. Male paunch, nadhvoste wing and white, head, neck, chest, back, the band wing and the end of the wing black, tail and wings gray body. Female and young, like Lugovoi lunya, but darker; tail without shear bands, a female white front edge of the wing. Voice - disyllabic shriek, similar to the Creek lapwing (Böhme et al, 1998).

Distribution. Occurs on raw meadows Trans-Baikal and Far East (Böhme et al, 1998).
