Small clanga

Aquila pomarina CL Brehm, 1831

Field signs. It is like a big clanga, but slightly smaller and lighter, with a grayish hue, the young at the top of the rare ohristye spots. Nadhvoste always dark. A flying bird's wings seem to be noticeably narrower than that of other eagles, especially in the terminal part (Böhme et al, 1998).

Distribution. Inhabits the forest and forest zone of west European part of Russia and the Caucasus (Böhme et al, 1998).
