Field signs. Is similar to the small starling, but entire back dark, in the male of the side of head and [nadkhvoste] red, and on the wing white strip. The beak, eyes and feet are black. Voice as in small starling (Bohme and others, 1998). Propagation. Islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Sakhalin to the north to 47- y of parallel, Iturup, Kunashir, Shikotan, [Moneron], Askold. Coast of littoral from Peter the Great Bay and region Lake. Khasan to the north to 45- y of parallel ([Stepanyan], of 1990; 2003). |
