Field signs. Larger than sizogo dove, almost black with a green otlivom, red legs (Böhme et al, 1998).

Distribution. Japanese islands: Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Sado, Oki, Tsusima, Goto, Danzhu, Yakushima, Tanegashima, Izu, Ryukyu, Ogasawara, Ivo. Zalety of the birds recorded for the southern Primorye (Stepanyan, 1990, 2003).
